Clanree Hotel & Leisure Centre

We had a lovely Sunday lunch with four friends, seated at a nice table along one side of the room. The young women looking after us were pleasant, friendly, and helpful, and seemed to enjoy their work. Their manner really added to an enjoyable meal.

We were a family of five, with children aged 13, 12, and 8, and would absolutely come back and recommend the hotel to friends and family. Staff were friendly, efficient, considerate, and helpful from check-in through breakfast, even during a busy morning when they kept things running smoothly and the food plentiful. Our family room had three double beds, a spacious bathroom, and felt cozy. The pool worked well for families, with a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, plenty of showers, and changing space. There was ample room on the ground and first floors to sit with a drink or play games while the kids played. The hotel bar had entertainment, efficient staff, and decent pints too 😁 The food was great.

What stood out positively was the food, which was satisfactory, and the staff, who were excellent, friendly, and professional as ever. Still, this visit disappointed me after many positive stays. The place didn’t seem as clean or well maintained as before, some bedroom corridors were extremely cold, and my room was freezing. Something seems to be slipping compared with earlier visits. I like the hotel and hope this is temporary, because it would be a shame to see standards decline.

I was here for work and found the hotel reasonably priced. The little swimming pool was lovely, and I really enjoyed the restaurant food. I’d recommend it.
