Radisson Blu Hotel, Letterkenny

The personal touch left in our room was a lovely surprise during our three-night stay with my wife. Check-in was efficient, dining went smoothly, and departure was seamless. The hotel stayed remarkably quiet, and breakfast was consistently satisfying. It had all the necessary items, though the selection didn’t change during our stay. That wasn’t a problem for me personally, but more variety could improve it. One small suggestion for guest well-being: replace the plastic kettles in the rooms with stainless steel or another metal. From a scientific perspective, boiling water in plastic kettles can be a concern, and that limited our enjoyment of making coffee and tea in the room.

Daniela and her reception colleagues were especially friendly and helpful. I stayed for 12 nights and would definitely recommend the hotel if you want peace of mind and an easy stay in Letterkenny. The rooms are spacious and neatly kept, and the staff are always happy to help.

The location worked really well for my business stay in October. It’s central, but set back from the main road, so there wasn’t an issue with traffic noise. The rooms were superb, and the staff were excellent. Nothing felt like too much trouble. I really enjoyed staying here.

The breakfast was plentiful, and we enjoyed the swimming and sauna facilities. The location was convenient, early check-in suited us, and service was good. Staff also provided a charger head when the USB socket didn’t work, along with decaf tea. A few things could have been better: the sink was blocked, the water wasn’t hot enough in the morning, and there were no robes or slippers in the room, unlike at other four-star Radissons. There were no refill water tanks in the hallways either, as we’ve seen at other four-star hotels. The breakfast area seemed to have quite a few staff moving around, especially given there were only around 7, 8, maybe 10 customers.
