We arrived past check-in time and Kate and the staff were fantastic from the moment we got there until we left. Our luggage hadn't been put on our flight from Glasgow, so we had to change our hiking plans because we had no clothes or gear. Kate did everything she could to make us comfortable and spent a lot of time suggesting another plan. We followed her ideas and enjoyed plenty of sights, delicious food and a great ferry trip to our next destination. The breakfast at Wild Honey was absolutely divine, one of the best of our 13-day trip. It was such a great experience, and we'll be back. Thank you, Kate!

Kate, the owner, and her staff were lovely, and the rooms were clean and full of charm. They accommodated our family of about 20 across 10 rooms, and breakfast was great. I only wish tea and coffee were available all day, and we weren't allowed to bring in outside food.

The owner, Kate, is an absolute delight and had lots of great local recommendations. She made my favorite breakfast of the trip, too. The guesthouse is so gorgeous and charming that I'd return to Lisdoonvarna just to stay here. I even wish I could hire Kate to decorate my home.

For €250 a night, this was a terrible experience. The place didn't feel like a four-star property: check-in was only from 4-6 pm, almost like an Airbnb, the restaurant wasn't operating despite the nice photos, and breakfast wasn't included. At the other Irish hotels we stayed in, breakfast was included in the €180-250 price range. We also had to book breakfast for a specific time, which was inconvenient. The door to our room wouldn't close from the inside, and showers elsewhere in the property made a loud noise. The communal lounge smelled bad, and there was no kettle or tea and coffee in the room, which felt unusual for a four-star place at that price. The whole property seemed empty and abandoned. The biggest problem, though, was how rude the receptionist or owner woman was throughout.

The room was immaculately clean, with a beautifully renovated bathroom, a great bed and crisp linens. Ours also had a sweet patio. Kate was the kindest, most thoughtful host, and the breakfasts made by Michelin-star awarded Aidan were remarkable, a wonderful way to start the day. I can't think of a lovelier place for exploring the Burren, Cliffs of Moher and the region's natural riches. This would be my first choice, hands down. Many thanks.
