Our breakfast came very late because the hotel was also catering for a funeral, and the staff were understandably very busy. The food was very good once it arrived, but Zuzi’s service was what really stood out. She was absolutely fantastic and professional, kept us updated about the delay, and comped one of the orders.

I went a few weeks ago and the dust on top of the wood paneling behind the bed was the thickest I’ve ever seen. The restaurant food was inconsistent too. A coworker and I could order breakfast or dinner just five minutes apart and get completely different food. One night I ordered a burger and it was raw, so I had to send it back. I’d avoid this hotel if possible.

We held a large dinner here and had a really enjoyable time. The staff were kind, and the food was hearty and well made. It’s a lovely hotel in the heart of Listowel, with beautiful room decor. Would recommend!

Zoe was allowed in, though we had to sit in the covered outdoor area. You can see the racecourse from there. It’s a cosy, quaint place with friendly service, and we all enjoyed our meals. There seem to be plenty of rooms for dining or having a drink. I suspect the accommodation is great too, though we didn’t stay. The place had an old world charm.

Dinner was top class, and breakfast was tasty. My room was nice and the bed very comfortable. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
