We were so glad we found this place and will come back. The atmosphere was lovely, with lots of history, a real Irish Gem, and the staff were friendly and efficient. I’m vegan and my partner isn’t, and the separate vegan and non-vegan menus gave us both plenty of choice. I was amazed to see everything from a burger to vegan steak, plus several plant-based desserts. The food was incredible, and we both loved it.

We had lunch at the horse shoe bar and restaurant today, and the food was delicious. My sister is coeliac and very sensitive, so it can be hard for her to find tasty gluten-free food when we’re out. She was able to have the whole meal gluten-free, including the soup, panfored chicken breast and sauce. Very impressed. Well done, and thank you.

The wild mushroom carbonara deserves a special mention. I’m vegetarian, but my non-vegetarian friends enjoyed the food too. Everything was amazingly delicious, and the staff were prompt and took great care of our group of 20. Highly recommended.

We held my Uncle Malcoms wake here, and the service was faultless. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were friendly. The toilets were clean too.

I really like dropping into The Horseshoe for a drink with friends, and the outdoor dining area added to the experience when it was built in 2021. It’s my favourite restaurant in Listowel, with warm, attentive staff and a varied menu that has something for everyone. The food is fantastic, and the sea food chowder is something special. They also have daily roast, chicken and fish specials. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re passing through Listowel.
