The countryside around the house was lovely to explore, and we enjoyed walking to the nearby ruins and playing games in the shared lounge. There are horses and other farm animals, and the family were friendly. It feels like you get the whole big Irish country house experience, if you have enough time for it. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was a good basic Irish spread with soda bread. I would have liked fresh fruit or salad, but it was a cooked Irish breakfast. Getting to the nearest towns for dinner took some effort, though both towns we tried had good restaurant choices. Cork is a bit far if you're hoping to visit larger towns, but the location worked well for seeing rural southern Ireland.

The host kindly arranged an early breakfast for us, and the traditional Irish meal was one of the best we had in Ireland. Everything tasted very fresh, and the raisin bread was good too. The house has a lot of history and character, with a huge property. Our room was large and clean.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious, a great start to the day. We also liked having spots inside to sit and relax, including a pool table and a small bar, and the grounds were pleasant for a walk with a place for kids to play. The family gave us a warm welcome, and the house and setting made a strong first impression. Our room was clean, roomy, and well equipped, with lovely countryside views. The bathroom was enormous and had a jacuzzi. We'd happily come back.

Everyone was really nice, and the breakfast was very good. The high ceilings and decor looked gorgeous. The B&B is cute, and having Wi-Fi helped a lot since some of us had no cell service.

The house and rooms were beautiful, and the staff were lovely. I got to live out my Victorian era dreams here. Breakfast was home cooked in the morning. Such an amazing B&B stay, highly recommend!
