The gardens are lovely, and the country accommodation is beautiful, well equipped and nicely furnished. The host had eggs, coffee, tea, butter, bread, yogurt, milk, chocolates and plenty more for us, and the Wi-Fi worked great. It’s a short drive to Maynooth and a train ride to Dublin. Quintessential Ireland 🇮🇪

Angela welcomed us warmly at Moyglare House and showed us around this Georgian home. She and her husband are restoring it with so much care and attention to detail. The owners have collected the furniture, paintings and fittings over many years, and Angela shared a little of their history on the tour. We had a wonderful visit, well worth going.

It was a privilege to see this house as a work of art in progress. The owners each bring their expertise to their home, and we enjoyed hearing where different pieces came from. We even picked up a few tips for caring for our own chairs and China. Angela welcomed our dog too, with a bowl of water, and he lounged on the cat’s bed in the front hall while we toured.

The beautiful, history-filled Moyglare House sits among stunning scenery, and the tour I took a few weeks ago was fascinating. It also offers air bnb if you need somewhere to stay. Highly recommend.

We stopped by to look around and, when nobody was in sight, I knocked on the door. The owner, Malcolm, kindly invited us in for a short tour. It’s a fantastic place to see, and Malcolm and his wife are absolutely lovely.
