The Village Studio Apartments

The entrance road has huge potholes, so be careful driving in because they could seriously damage a vehicle. The apartment itself felt authentic, but it was only half finished, with the ceiling looking like work had stopped partway through and pencil measurement marks still visible. One table was broken in the middle. We had Wi-Fi for the first night, then it was switched off for the next two nights. I don’t usually leave feedback like this. We paid for a place to relax and left it in a condition that should have made cleaning easy. I’m not sure whether the cleaning is being done thoroughly.

I stayed in the downstairs apartment and found it clean, cosy and a brilliant escape from everyday madness for a few days. The hosts couldn’t do enough for me, and spending time with their two lovely dogs made it feel like home. I could hear everything from the apartment upstairs, though that wasn’t the hosts’ fault. Next time I visit, I’d book the upstairs apartment. Thanks to the perfect hosts.

The setting at The Village B&B was peaceful, with lovely scenery and a village within walking distance. We brought our dog, and the thoughtful pet amenities made it easy to enjoy the getaway together. There were board games too, which made for some fun time with my partner and our dog. We had a kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals, and the B&B had what we needed for the stay. I imagine breakfast would be just as lovely, given the care evident elsewhere. We stayed for two nights and were welcomed by the owner’s warm smile and polite manner. Communication was excellent, and questions or requests were handled promptly and attentively. Our room was clean and well maintained, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We had some of our best sleep in a long time. The Village B&B made for a memorable, relaxing escape, and we’ll certainly return. I highly recommend it. Thank you for such a special stay.

Everything was fresh, clean and cosy, and it was seriously affordable. We booked both apartments, and Gael kindly found a space for our camper van as well. We adored the greeting brigade 🐕.
