Brielle House

We stayed here overnight for the Taylor Swift concert in Dublin. The place was spacious, spotless and beautifully presented, and the host was very kind. There was plenty of milk, along with tea, coffee, cereal and biscuits for us. It would also make a handy base for touring the Midlands. Thanks, Anne, of Brielle House Guest Accommodation. I’d happily recommend it.

Everything was within walking distance in Mountmellick, and the location was excellent. The accommodation was spotless and had a homely feel. The owners were very nice too. We’ll be back.

We appreciated the milk, coffee and cereals Ann had left for us. After a long day of travel, it meant we didn’t have to rush straight back out for supplies. The accommodation itself was cosy, comfortable and very clean. We’ll definitely stay again.

The owners were friendly, and the bungalow was clean and tidy with what we needed for our one-night stay: a TV, free WiFi, kitchen appliances, and some tea and milk. It did the job, though a few things got on my nerves. The entrance was awkward to get in and out of, and with the road in front, turning left was really the only safe option. The bungalow sits behind the owners’ own house, which was fine. Inside, the toilet handle wasn’t working properly, I couldn’t find a socket for the hairdryer apart from behind the bed, and the TV volume was unreliable. Someone’s dog also yapped in the middle of the night. The bungalow has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a double and a single, both a good size. There’s one bathroom with a small electric shower, a sink and loo, plus an average kitchen, separate dining area and lounge. Would I go again? Probably, unless the hotel offers a great deal.
