Newgrange Hotel

The team were terrific, really professional and lovely. I’ve stayed in five star places that left me less satisfied, so I don’t understand why this is rated three stars. Hats off to everyone. I’d be very happy to stay again.

The complimentary parking was a real bonus. We could leave the car and enjoy shopping and afternoon and evening walks without any hassle. We loved the food, the bar had a great atmosphere and service, and the dining room was bright and relaxing. Our room was modern, clean, cosy and comfortable, with great coffee provided. Reception was friendly and efficient, and the location was ideal for exploring Navan. My wife and I came to the Newgrange Hotel for our 21st wedding anniversary. It was our first visit to Navan and our first stay at the hotel, and we loved every minute. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The recent renovation shows, and it felt like a home away from home. There were lovely surprises in the room: complimentary confectionery, a fruit platter with chocolate-dipped strawberries and blueberries, a small dessert cake, and a thoughtful anniversary card. Those touches made the celebration especially memorable. Thank you to everyone. We’ll definitely be back.

We’re planning to come back before Christmas. We had a lovely two day break, with great entertainment in the bar on Sunday night and a handy location right in the town centre. The room was spacious, the food excellent, and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault the place.

The restaurant was just okay. It was very dark, the Prosecco was warm despite costing €54 a bottle, and service was slow. Parking is tight too. The hotel itself was good value, though. The room was gorgeous, the bath was amazing, and the wine sent to the room was lovely. For a bridal suite, I did expect bottles of water, robes and a fridge, which were missing. Still a nice hotel, and I’d give it another go.
