There were five of us, and the staff made us feel completely welcome, even in our motorcycle gear. Service was fantastic, and we had dinner at the hotel that evening, which we couldn’t fault. The rooms were lovely and the location stunning. We’ll definitely be back.

It had a very welcoming, homely feel for a hotel. Everyone was lovely, and none of the staff made anything feel like too much trouble.

The rooms are spacious, but the bathroom could use some attention. For the price, a plain plastic shower curtain doesn’t feel appropriate. Room service wasn’t doing its job properly, and the tea and coffee information they sent out was outdated. Breakfast was average, with no hot options, and the pastries didn’t taste freshly made.

The rooms were beautiful, quiet, and comfortable, and we loved the delicious breakfast and dinner. Every staff member, from reception and breakfast to the bar, waitresses, and cleaners, went out of their way to be friendly and hospitable. It felt like old-school hospitality at its best, and we felt so at home that we didn’t want to leave. We were there for one of the busiest weekends, the John McFadden festival, but everyone remained incredibly welcoming despite being so busy. What a lovely weekend. Every staff member deserves a bonus, and we can’t wait to come back.
