Seamount House B&B

The location is handy, about a ten-minute walk from Pavilion Shopping Centre, with an Applegreen two minutes away for coffee and a bus stop nearby for trips to the city centre. I’ve stayed at this b&b a few times and have always had a very good experience. The landlord is kind and very nice, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the bathrooms were in good condition. I’d highly recommend it.

My only real disappointment was the narrow, rather small ensuite bathroom. The room itself was small too, but I only needed it for sleeping and repacking before my flight, so that was fine. There was also a larger shared bathroom with a very nice shower. Elaine was delightful to deal with. A few days before I arrived, she found she could fit me in for an extra night, after I’d tried to book weeks earlier. She got in touch quickly and, at my request, arranged the cancellation with the B&B I’d planned to stay at. She helped me map out my one day in Dublin, suggested stops for the hop-on hop-off bus, and had plenty of maps and discount cards for attractions. Breakfast was a good standard Irish breakfast, with lots of options. I had an early flight, and Elaine made me breakfast to take along and helped plan my bus trip to the airport. I’d stay here again without hesitation.

Our room had everything we needed, including comfortable beds and a nice warm shower, and the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The only drawback was that breakfast is no longer offered, accommodation only. If they still did breakfast, it’d be an 11 out of 10 :)

A perfect place to finish our trip, close to both the village and the airport. Elaine was a wonderful host, communication was excellent, and the accommodation was stellar. Thanks, Elaine!
