The fishing days were a real highlight, especially seeing the mayfly hatch on Lough Corrib and trying the traditional dapping style of fly fishing. We also explored ancient ruins on an island and stopped for a lovely lunch with beautiful scenery all around us. Greg was full of knowledge and made our time on the water both enjoyable and interesting. From the moment we arrived, Greg and Deidra made us feel at ease with their warm, personal welcome. Camillaun Lodge had a cozy charm and lots of character, and breakfast was delicious each morning. We had a memorable stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone after an authentic Irish fly fishing experience.

We had a really relaxing stay, and it was completely dog friendly. Breakfast was very good and filling, and we had fun using the games room and hot tub. Renting a boat was a great time too. Many thanks for such a lovely stay.

The hosts took great care of us and shared useful suggestions about the area and places to eat. Breakfast kept us going for the day. Camillaun lodge is perfectly placed for visiting Galway and the surrounding area, and we had a perfect stay.

We spent two nights at Camillaun lodge with the family and found it a lovely place to unwind. The host was so friendly and made sure we felt comfortable throughout. Our room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was delicious. There are boats for fishing or a ride, plus a tennis court and game room. Highly recommended for a relaxing break.

It’s beautifully set by the water, and the town is less than a five-minute walk away. We only stayed one night during our walking holiday and wished we could have stayed longer. Deirdre and Greg were lovely hosts to chat with, and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, and we felt welcome and at home.
