The Ferry Boat

The green landscape and mountains behind the property made waking up a lovely start to the day, and I slept really well. My room and the main areas were clean and cosy, with a good shower too. The hosts sent clear instructions before I arrived about the key box and what to do if I was late, so I could finish my day's adventures without rushing. Check-out was just as simple: I left the key in the box and didn't get a chance to see the hosts. Booking was easy, and the communication was great. Thanks for a lovely stay. I'll look for a room at the Ferry Boat next time I'm in the area.

We had a very poor impression. The room was extremely small, the bathroom the smallest I've ever seen, and there was no parking space or breakfast. No one was there to receive us and the directions weren't clear. The curtains didn't block the early morning light, and both the curtains and duvet were torn. The price wasn't cheap. This was the worst stay of our 10-day tour of Ireland. Replying to your message below: Sorry about my poor English. I meant duvet, not blankets. Please check the curtains too, we're not blind. We chose this B&B because there weren't many other places available. This is my opinion, of course, and luckily for you, there are surely other customers who are fully satisfied.

The room and bathroom were very clean and exceeded my expectations, and I'd stay here again. We were perfectly placed for our planned boat trip to Skellig Island, close to the docks and pubs. My wife wasn't happy that our private-use bathroom was across the public hall. I noticed other rooms had bathrooms inside the room.

We only stayed one night, but we'd love to come back. The town was lovely and we met some great people. Mike and Judy made a delicious hot breakfast, and check-in and check-out were incredibly easy. It was nice chatting with them and Gemma too. Our room was comfortable and clean, with its own bathroom, complete with dolphin decor.
