The floor was filthy, and the highchair we were given was full of food. Service was very slack, and nobody checked on us during the meal. One member of my family has dietary restrictions and ordered something she was told would suit her. While the mains were being put down for the rest of us, staff came over to say her choice wouldn’t be suitable. They should have checked and told her from the start. We’d eaten at Jacksons often before, but we won’t be back.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were great and friendly. Five stars throughout.

The hotel is good value, with really nice staff. One thing to be careful about: when we booked, we agreed on a price for three people with breakfast included. At breakfast, we were told we had to pay ten euros each towards it, and that we could order anything off the menu. We’d been told breakfast was included, so being asked for another €10 each towards it seems like the most ridiculous policy I’ve heard in my life. I’d get it confirmed with the manager.

A busy restaurant in the middle of Roscommon. The food is OK, the service pleasant, and the prices reasonable.

Took a big family group out for dinner. The food was great, and the staff were patient and helpful. Good value overall.
