The food was good, there was plenty of parking, and the staff were so helpful. It’s a family-run hotel, and everyone made us feel very welcome. My wife asked about Mass times, and the management drove us there and came back to collect us. That was so kind. We’ll be back, and I’d say this is a must-stay if you’re in Roscommon.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea, and the staff were friendly and helpful. What spoiled it was children running around at speed. It was dangerous, and nobody seemed concerned.

The ruins of the abbey behind the hotel are amazing, and we had a very relaxing break. The room was spotless, the pool facilities were lovely, and the food was really nice, though the breakfast buffet was a bit small. One rainy evening, a staff member ran after my wife and me as we went for a walk to offer us a lift. We politely declined, but were extremely impressed by the generous offer. The service was top notch, and I’d definitely stay again.

The leisure facilities were relaxing and well looked after. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna during our two-night stay over the long bank holiday weekend. Breakfast was very good, with a nice range and vegetarian options that had clearly been considered. The staff were welcoming and professional throughout, and the hotel is beautiful, with impressive architecture and a dining room that really stands out for its design and atmosphere. On both nights, we heard knocking outside the window for a few minutes at around 3am. It wasn’t raining, and we’re not sure whether it was a coincidence or something specific to our room. It caught our attention, but otherwise we had a very enjoyable, comfortable, relaxing stay at Abbey Hotel Roscommon and would recommend it.

The staff are really friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious, with choices for everyone. The building has an older style, but it’s clean and well maintained. It’s easy to reach too, close to the local routes, and has a lovely old-fashioned charm.
