Citywest Hotel

I’m writing about what happened yesterday, December 13th, at around 11:00 PM. A resident was targeted by a group of about 15 teenagers who live in the building. They made degrading comments about his appearance and clothes, then surrounded and threatened him, blocking his way to his room. It seemed they were trying to get him outside the camera’s view so they could hurt him. He escaped when another resident opened the door and ran outside in just a shirt. The group chased him, and while climbing a sharp fence to get away, he badly cut his arm. He got away without further harm thanks to his quick reaction. This should be a place where residents feel safe. There was no security in the lobby during the incident, and I’m shocked that this was allowed to happen. The teenagers gather there every day, smoke and use drugs on the premises, and some carry knives. Residents should not face threats, bullying, or violence over how they look or dress. We expect an immediate response and concrete action. Please put security in the lobby around the clock, set strict rules for residents, including no loitering in the lobby after 11:00 PM, and improve camera coverage to remove blind spots. We also ask for an educational campaign with the teenagers and their parents about discrimination, threats, and violence. If urgent action isn’t taken, we’ll have to contact the police and bring this to public attention. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected. Sincerely

I called to check, but this isn't a hotel anymore.

There’s loads of room here, including a very large car park, and the outdoor area is lovely with great views of the nearby park. The reception and waiting area are nice too, and the staff are friendly. The halls are spacious and well built for functions and ceremonies, with no echo during events. They’re fully air conditioned and can fit a huge number of people. Everything was good.

I stayed at Citywest Hotel in March and didn’t expect such a disappointing stay from a 4-star property. After reading another review about teenagers causing trouble there, I can see why that guest felt unsafe. I’m not dangerous, guys. Bye, everyone!
