The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The home felt quite cold during the chilly weather, so bring a blanket. The private bath was nice, though the shower in the bedroom was very small. Breakfast was great, especially the Irish option, which was prepared nicely. Yogurt and cereal were available if you wanted a break from the meat breakfast. We spent 8 days in Ireland and stayed at 3 B&Bs. I’d rate this one a 3 mainly because I wish the host had been more personable. At breakfast the door was shut, there wasn’t any conversation, and the doors were shut very loudly. I would’ve liked to talk more and learn about the area.

We arrived late on a Saturday without a reservation, and Frances welcomed us in and put us at ease straight away. The ensuite bathroom was spacious and well equipped, and breakfast was tasty both mornings. There’s also a nice guest area by the large garden if you plan to stay in. Frances gave us excellent suggestions for nearby Spiddle and Galway.

Bill and I stayed in early September, and Frances was such a delight. Our room was very clean, and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast and wonderful conversation. It took me two months to write this because I couldn’t remember the B&B’s name, but we’ll be back!

A beautiful, homey place to stay near Galway, and a handy base for exploring Connemara. I had a really pleasant, familiar-feeling stay. Francis, the landlady, made me feel like a friend right away.

Frances was so lovely, and the beds were nice. We had a fabulous stay and a fabulous breakfast. Highly recommend!
