We found a lovely beach spot where it felt like we had a private beach to ourselves. The area is great for local tours too, and the little playground outside was a nice touch. Even my two pre-teens were out shooting hoops while my 8 year old played. Our daughter was in the Gaeltact (Colaiste Lurgan), just a short drive away, and we took her out for the day while making a short holiday of it. The staff were lovely and friendly. The house was a bit dated but bright and spacious, with all the cooking facilities and utensils we needed. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. It's a perfect base at a very reasonable rate, and I'll definitely book again next year, as my daughter is only home today and plans to return next year.

The home-cooked food is very, very good, and we couldn't fault the place. Rates are very reasonable, the staff are lovely, and you can choose a hotel room or a chalet at the rear. There's lots of parking and a playground for the kids.

It's a beautiful area with a calm, relaxing feel, and the village isn't too far away. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

We stayed in a two-floor house. It was fine, with one "luxury room" that had a bathroom and a TV. There was a park for small children across the road, which is a good idea.
