The bed was really comfortable, the pillows were fluffy, and the room had a decent-sized TV and good tea and coffee supplies. Staff were excellent and very accommodating, and the location was great, close to the Luas. The bathroom was the downside: it felt dated and needed repairs, with loose floor tiles, a huge crack in the sink, and a tap so loose it looked ready to fall off when we used it.

I changed my review because the manager asked us to leave one before we'd even reached our rooms. I reported that the shower wasn't working properly, but nothing was done. I also asked reception for the room to be cleaned and for fresh towels; when we returned, neither had been taken care of. Someone collected the towels I'd left outside, but I still had to call and wait almost 30 minutes for replacements. The shower in room 501 needs fixing, and cleaning and towel replacement shouldn't require a trip to reception and another phone call. Jason.

The location was good and the place was comfortable, with lovely staff, especially at the bar. The vending machines on the 1st floor weren't working properly. One took my card but not cash, with no sign explaining the problem, and I lost more than 10 euros. The website also doesn't make it clear when the pool closes, which makes planning around a busy schedule difficult.

We had booked the Shannon Suite back in October for my partner's daughter's Communion in May, expecting around 120 guests. About eight weeks before the event, management started calling repeatedly to arrange a meeting. They tried to push us into a much smaller room that couldn't fit the guests we'd already invited. We explained this, but the calls and pressure continued. It became clear they'd accepted another booking for the same evening, with around 300 guests, and our confirmed booking had become inconvenient for them. They even said that if we wouldn't take the smaller room, we could only celebrate the Communion for four hours, despite the event costing €4,400. This was a once-in-a-lifetime day for a child, and instead of looking forward to it, we were left stressed and unsure what would happen. We managed to find another venue at short notice, but the way management treated us was deeply disrespectful and unprofessional. I'd advise people to think carefully before trusting this venue with an important family event.
