The Plaza Hotel

I was there for one night on a Monday in April 2026 for a business trip, arriving late, so I didn't eat in the restaurant. The modern rooms were clean and spotless, staff were nice, WiFi was good, breakfast was quick and self service, and underground parking was free. It's in a commercial part of town, beside office parks, a retail space and a Garda station. Not a residential or tourist area, but handy if you need a bed in the south suburbs, especially for work on that side of the city. I came from up the country by private car. I'm not sure how accessible it is by public transport, and it would be too far out for tourists. I'd stay again if I needed a bed in the south suburbs.

The sandwiches at the afternoon tea party in 4 **** Plaza Hotel Tallaght were nicely presented and tasty, and the scones looked lovely with strawberry jam and cream. The table was beautifully set, the classical music was nice, and the service was friendly. Unfortunately, the scones were hard as rocks and impossible to eat. We complained, but weren't offered a replacement or another option. For €35 at a 4-star hotel, I expected better service. Such a shame. We'll try other afternoon tea places.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and it was a relaxing place to stay. The receptionist was so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, and nothing felt like too much trouble. I had a lovely stay and would definitely come back. Great service and atmosphere, and I'd recommend it to others.

It's been years since I've been here, but I'm glad we booked. We stayed one night without breakfast and really liked the spotless room and very comfortable bed. The receptionist was lovely, and the location worked well with family nearby. I'd definitely stay again.
