I was there on 27/05/2026 at around 7:30 pm and ordered chips. When I changed my mind about eating there, the staff gave me a takeaway box. I took some butter packets from the table, thinking they went with the food. A staff member said I couldn’t take them, so I apologized straight away and said I wouldn’t. The way I was spoken to after that left me embarrassed and disrespected. I was told to “use common sense” and that I shouldn’t come back to the hotel. I’m sorry I didn’t ask before taking the butter, since it was my misunderstanding, but customers should still be spoken to politely and professionally. I hope management improves how staff communicate with guests.

Food was decent and the prices seemed fair. The shower swung from scalding hot to cold with no steady temperature, and I could hear snoring upstairs and kids downstairs. We paid 280 for two nights, which felt reasonable. I didn’t hate the stay, but it was bang average and I wouldn’t come back.

We held the after-party here for my daughter’s first holy communion, and everything was so good. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. I can’t praise the place enough for an event.

The atmosphere feels homely, and the food is gorgeous with generous portions. My family and I have stayed at the Templemore Arms and eaten there several times, and every visit has been lovely. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, whether you’re staying at the hotel or dining, and they really look after what you need. It’s a brilliant place for a meal, a stay, or a special occasion. I always look forward to going back and would highly recommend it.

I slept like a log in a room that was squeaky clean. Breakfast the next morning felt like something from a five-star hotel. An outstanding hotel overall.
