The rooms felt cozy and charming, and the location was great. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and again at breakfast the next morning, and both meals were excellent. James was especially welcoming and friendly from the moment we came through the door. The hotel staff were fantastic.

We sat outside with coffee and scones, watching the river and the world drift by. The cafe is lovely, right on the banks of the Barrow, and the staff were friendly. Those were the nicest scones we’d had in a long time.

The town is beautiful, right beside a river, and the food was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and modern enough. The staff were incredible. The proprietor was really friendly and helpful, and he helped establish the local rowing club. I got to look around and was glad to see a proper rowing boat house.

We had a wonderful stay last week. It was peaceful, with the quay and river just in front of the property, and the setting is idyllic. Our room was quaint, furnished to suit the house. It isn’t modern, but it was perfectly adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast there.

The river Barrow makes for a beautiful setting. We booked a table to meet up with friends, and had a wonderful time. The staff were so friendly and cheerful, service was quick, and the food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back.
