Barrow House

You can hear the water as you fall asleep, which was such a treat, with the tide coming right up to the front wall. Barrow House is in a beautiful, invigorating spot, and Daragh's friendly welcome adds to the comfort and elegance. The rooms look very smart but are comfortable too. Breakfast was a feast.

Try for the Egret Room if it's free. Barrow House is a special, almost magical place, and you get that feeling as soon as you arrive. Breakfast is included and great, and it's close to plenty of things. If you're a golfer, it's an ideal place to stay. Daragh is a great source of help while you're there. If you're near Dingle, stay here.

The breakfast here was so good that we didn't skip it like we usually do at hotels. There was a great choice of hot and cold dishes, made to order each morning. Daragh and the team made the stay, with a professional manner, a generous amount of time for conversation, and a homely welcome. We spent two lovely nights at Barrow House, right on the water, in a beautifully renovated place with a range of rooms and welcoming spaces. It was perfect for unwinding for a few days, though we could easily have stayed longer and explored more of the area.

We wished we could have stayed longer at Barrow House, just to enjoy the atmosphere and scenery. The waterfront views kept changing, and the interiors felt luxurious, with comfortable, spacious rooms. The public areas were thoughtfully designed for relaxing and socializing, with a reading room, cinema room, a salon where you could get a drink from the bar, and a large dining room for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious and generous, served by efficient, very polite staff. Daragh, the proprietor, seemed to have considered every detail. Above all, her warm, charismatic hospitality made us feel at home from the start. She also gave us practical advice about tours for the next day and nearby dinner options. My wife and I had an amazing five days there.
