We had dinner at Smuggler’s down the road, then walked back from there to Klondyke House. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was really comfortable in a perfect spot. We booked at the last minute just before they closed for a short break, and I’d happily stay again.

Those fruit pancakes at breakfast were delicious, and a welcome change from the otherwise meat-heavy Irish breakfast. The rooms were clean, with a lovely sea view, and the location was good. The hostess kept her distance, so the welcome felt less warm than at the other B&Bs we’d stayed in. We were asked to pay in cash, but that had been made clear when we booked, so that seemed fair.

The breakfast was great, and the rooms were nice. Compared with the previous two B&Bs we stayed at, the welcome was less friendly and helpful. This was also the only place that asked us to pay the full amount before we arrived in Ireland.

The owner left us a note asking what we’d like for breakfast since we were arriving late, which was thoughtful. Parking was easy, the service was great, and it felt safe. Our room had a beautiful view, the beds were comfortable, and everything was exceptionally clean. It’s about halfway along the Ring of Kerry drive, with gorgeous beach views and an interior lake within walking distance. Amazing breakfast and great value for the price.
