Augusta Lodge

Steph and Dave made sure our group felt completely at home when we stayed here on a motorbike trip a couple of weeks ago. Such a welcoming place, with great food. There were tea and coffee facilities and biscuits in the bedrooms, plus cake in the sitting room. I'll definitely come back. Five stars all the way!

Breakfast was a real pleasure: everything was freshly cooked to order, with the full Irish and porridge served piping hot and the fresh fruit salad nicely chilled. We were warmly welcomed to a cosy, well-arranged house. The hall and residents' lounge had lots of golf memorabilia, and even though I'm not interested in golf or other sports, I found it interesting. Our rooms were comfortable and had individual heating controls, so we could set the temperature ourselves. Each room has a theme; ours was poppies, which gave it a warm, rich feel. The shower room was tiny but practical, with everything fitted in well. We all enjoyed the stay and appreciated Stephanie and Dave's efforts to make sure we had what we needed.

The owners were friendly, breakfast was tasty, and the beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean, with tea and coffee available in the room and again in the downstairs lounge. A relaxing place to stay, and I'd come back next time I'm in Westport.

Our hosts were helpful and even lent us walking sticks for our trip up Croagh Patrick. The B&B is about a ten-minute walk from central Westport, and there's a lounge for relaxing. We had a clean, spacious family room that sleeps five, with the usual basics, including a shower, TV, and kettle for tea and coffee. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with cereals and cooked options. I'd stay there again.
