The building has a lovely feel, with carpeted floors and solid wood furniture. Our room was spacious, spotless and had very comfortable beds, and the bathroom was roomy and clean too. The staff were courteous and happy to help with our questions. Check-in and check-out were quick, and that positive first impression held up through the end of our stay. Highly recommend it.

The room was fine and breakfast was good. They were happy to let us leave our bags for a couple of hours before our train. But when we came back to collect them, my Dutch partner asked to use the toilet and was rudely refused. Honestly, I was embarrassed. It was his first time in Mayo, and I’d expected a bit of hospitality.

The staff were lovely, and I really enjoyed staying here. My room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed. The shower had strong pressure and very hot water. Great value for money, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Breakfast was hot and nicely presented, though the toast could use an upgrade. There are lots of stairs to the rooms, and they’re narrow and steep. The location’s handy for walking into Westport centre. There’s no parking on site, but free street parking is available from 18:30 to 09:30. The floral displays outside were brilliant ❤️

The room was fine apart from how hot it got at night. We were on the top floor, which was much warmer than downstairs, and there was no wall unit. The window wouldn’t open at all, and I think it had been screwed shut. We ended up opening the hallway door to get some air in and cool the room enough to sleep. I wish they’d fitted a restrictor instead of screwing the window closed. On the plus side, breakfast was good, the location worked well, and parking nearby was easy.
