The Wyatt Hotel

The shower had great water pressure and was amazing, and the room was a decent size without feeling cramped. But parking is extremely limited. We only got a space because someone was leaving as we arrived, and it was a very tight fit for our car. On arrival, the staff were condescending and not helpful or friendly. Breakfast was okay and the food was nice, but my mum and I weren’t told how it worked. We’ve stayed in hotels in Ireland and elsewhere and didn’t know we could order hot food until someone explained nothing. They offered coffee, but we had to make it ourselves. We also didn’t know that, and when we asked for dairy free milk, they looked at us as if we were stupid. The soundproofing was poor too, so we heard every creak and cranny on our level. The toilet took about 30 minutes to refill and was pretty loud in the room.

The room was spacious, beautiful, and spotless, with a good mattress. It was properly heated, and best of all, completely quiet. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where I heard no noise from outside or other guests. I slept amazingly and hope to have the same experience if I stay again. The restaurant food was very good as well, and the staff were friendly.

There’s loads to see and do around town, and the food was very good. This is a great dog friendly hotel, with amazing staff throughout the hotel and at cobblers bar. Everyone gave our dog so much attention. Caroline at reception is amazing and works so hard, and I think the other receptionist is Niamh, who’s always lovely too.
