The Pink Door Westport

Breakfast was amazing, and we even got an impromptu lesson in pickling. I’d have taken Dave’s cooking class too if we’d had time. The rooms had fantastic decor and thoughtful little touches that made our stay really comfortable. More than anything, it felt like staying with friends. Dave and Rachel were welcoming, helpful, and fun to talk to. Best stay of our vacation, and I’d absolutely recommend it.

Dave’s food was incredible and gave us the energy for two days exploring the west of Ireland. We chose a smaller place this time on our usual sort of weekend trip to Westport, and loved the boutique feel Rachel created alongside the friendly hostel atmosphere. We had such a good time talking with the other guests and with Rachel and Dave. We left rested, replenished, and with new friends. It was such an enjoyable stay, and we’ll definitely be back.

The little extras made our stay feel special, from the treats and bath bomb outside the door to the ad hoc breakfast dishes and sweets when we left. Dave and Rachael are genuine, lovely people, and they’re a big part of what makes The Pink Door stand out. The newly renovated rooms and house were cosy and comfortable, and I felt at home as soon as we arrived. Every corner has something interesting to look at, with none of those beige walls or grey carpets. Those Foxford sheets and towels felt luxurious, and the whole place gave us a high-end experience for about half the price of a 5* hotel. Nothing seemed too much trouble. And yes, Dave’s baking was a treat too. If you’re thinking of booking, do it, it’s an experience in itself.

The food was incredible, and our room was cosy and really comfortable, with fun decor. Rachel and Dave welcomed us with treats and made sure we had everything we needed. They were great about our vegetarian diets too. Both are so much fun to talk to, and they have super cute pets. We came to Westport for a short weekend of exploring and will absolutely return. Big thanks to them both, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Westport.
