After finishing the Western Way, we spent four days at Westwood House and it was a great place to settle in. The host clearly loves Westport and was happy to share that enthusiasm, along with recommendations for food and things to do. He even used a blow dryer on our wet boots without us asking, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was lovely, especially the fresh fruit and porridge. Our room had comfortable beds and pillows, a good shower, and plenty of hot water.

A lovely breakfast and a wonderful host, with the train station and town conveniently close by. The room was spotless and had everything we needed, including a good shower and lovely beds. We had a great stay.

A very friendly couple live here and serve a good breakfast in the morning. The place was comfortable for a couple of days, and even the rooms facing the street were quieter at night than we expected.

The owners were especially friendly and helpful when I stayed here for a cycling trip on the Greenway in Westport. My room was clean and tidy, and breakfast was very nice. A really pleasant stay.

Westwood House is barely a five-minute walk from the town centre, and it felt like the homeliest B&B I’ve stayed in. Declan and Máire are down-to-earth, lovely people. Nothing was too much trouble, and Decky drove us into town twice and gave us a great route recommendation for the drive from Westport to Clifden. His fry-ups were beautiful every morning. He’s A1, and you’ll be glad you stayed. Go raibh míle mhaith agat.
