Newtown Park Hotel Wexford

Breakfast had a great selection and the bar food was amazing, with a lovely choice of dishes. The hotel was one of the cleanest, best maintained and most comfortable places I've stayed, and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated. I also appreciated the spacious walk-in shower and the anti-slip bathroom floor tiles, which put me at ease. A special thank you to every staff member who made our stay memorable. The cleaning, reception, breakfast, kitchen and bar staff were all so kind and helpful. Manager Will and receptionist Ciara deserve particular thanks. The heater in our first room was broken, making it too hot for me, so they moved us next door when it couldn't be fixed. They were both very kind and made us feel at ease about the situation. We'll definitely book another visit. Well done, Newtown Park Hotel.

Breakfast was fresh, there was plenty to choose from, and no queues, which made for a stress-free start to the day. I arrived early, had a tasty lunch in the bar, and found the decor and atmosphere really relaxing. The staff were welcoming from the start. I was pleasantly surprised by a room upgrade. It was huge, the bathroom looked recently refurbished, and everything was spotlessly clean. I didn't get a chance to try the pool this time, though I've heard good things about it. I'd definitely come back. Honestly, I couldn't fault the stay.

Margaret was especially helpful at breakfast, sorting gluten-free options for both an adult and a child. Since it was Christmas, she even gave the kids chocolate cake afterward. That kind of service would bring you back. We only stayed one night and arrived late, but had a really nice meal in the bar with good service. A talented guy singing and playing guitar made for very good entertainment too. Breakfast was good. The one small issue was the radiator in our room wouldn't turn fully off, so it got a bit too warm.

The pint of Coors was €7.20, which is madness when pubs in central Wexford town charge €6 and have better craic. The pasta bolognaise was just under €20 and came out looking like a child had made it: plain pasta swimming in water, topped with processed sliced cheese and tasteless bolognaise. I complained at the time, but the waitress didn't seem bothered or surprised. I can't understand why anyone would come back here for food. Supermacs would have been a better meal for the money.
