We stayed here with our three young children and dog, in a family room for one night at either end of our trip after the ferry to Rosslare. It’s a lovely B&B in central Wexford. Parking is on the road, but spaces turned over fairly regularly, so we were able to find one. Staff were friendly and kind, even with our 8am ferry home, and still offered us breakfast. Would recommend.

Derrick was friendly, accommodating, and easy to reach during my short stay. His breakfast was wonderful, and the big, inviting dining room was a lovely place to have it. The rooms were comfortable and much bigger than the ones I had everywhere else during my 3+ weeks around the UK and Ireland. For value, this was the best B&B of my trip. It’s right in the middle of town, a quick, easy walk to the seafront, restaurants, shops, and the bus and train station. I only wish I could’ve stayed longer. Wexford was more interesting than I’d expected.

Coming back to a cosy room after a long day exploring, and having a brilliant breakfast in the morning, made The Blue Door feel like a proper home from home. It’s dog-friendly too, a massive bonus in an area without many options for dogs. Thanks to Derek for a stay that couldn’t have been better. I’ll definitely stay at The Blue Door when I’m visiting Wexford again.

I slept like a log every night. The bed was really comfortable, with lovely soft bedding, and everything was spotlessly clean. The place has a lovely atmosphere, and Derek was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. I was working in Wexford, and the location made it easy to walk anywhere in town. The breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommend.

Derek was friendly and helpful from the moment we booked, and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms are large and comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Everything tasted delicious, from the excellent coffee and fresh sourdough to the tasty sausages and bacon. We couldn’t fault it. It deserves more than a 2-star status. Best B&B we’ve stayed in Wexford. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely return.
