Akkotel Boutique Hotel

The breakfast Gabriella from Peru made felt so personal, and the whole night was full of warmth. I stayed for one lovely night with my daughter. Our host was incredibly sweet and kind. This isn't just a hotel, it has such a special history. I'd recommend it ❤️

What made the stay for me was the warm, welcoming service. Mr. Nadeem and his lovely wife were always smiling, happy to help, and made us feel at home. If you're lucky, they'll tell you some of the urban legends about the place. The hotel sits in a historic building within Acre's ancient walls, and the design is beautiful. Our room was spacious, freshly modernized, and had a comfortable bed and air conditioning. It's right in the middle of old Acre, near the bazaars, restaurants, cafes, and sandy beach. Breakfast was nice, with a healthy selection of cheese, eggs, and vegetables. One of the best places to stay in northern Israel.

We were welcomed by the owner, who shared how the building became a hotel and its history. He and the staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was a nice Israeli spread, and there was fast Wi-Fi in the room, plus a free internet station and a self-serve coffee and tea spot in the lobby. Parking is limited to a few spaces, so it's a good idea to reserve one ahead of time. My suite came with a kettle but no tea or coffee, sugar or sweetener, mugs, or stirrers. It was a lovely suite, and the upgrade from a regular room was free, so I hadn't paid extra for those things. Still, if a kettle is provided, those supplies would be useful. The setting really adds to a visit to Acre. Akkotel is in a lovely historic building joined to the Old City walls, and guests can freely go up to the roof for a waterfront view. Inside, modern comforts sit alongside the original arches, exposed stone, and decorations. It feels like sleeping in an ancient Othman castle. The hotel is at the edge of the tourist center, a few minutes on foot from the market and waterfront, with restaurants and souvenir shops just outside. A ramp nearby goes up to the wall-top promenade, and arriving by car is easy without driving through the narrow streets. We had a perfect stay, and I highly recommend it.
