MAMAD - Red Sea View Apartment by Sea N' Rent

We came for scuba diving and always use deep siam. The price was great, and during the week the pool was adequate for the guests. My room was small but very clean, and the bathroom seemed to have been refurbished recently. I asked for extra towels and pillows, and got them right away. The receptionist was very sweet and helpful. Other guests told me breakfast was tasty.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was very good, with scrambled eggs, roasted and fresh vegetables, fruit, lots of yogurts, and some traditional dishes. Our room had everything we needed: several beds, a fridge, microwave, electric kettle, and they also provided a baby bed. Good quality for a fair price. The main downside was smoking on the second-floor summer terrace. If your room is nearby, you can smell the smoke all the time. I'd strongly recommend the owners ban smoking on the hotel grounds.

The staff were super nice and really tried to make things work for guests, so I don't blame them for our awful stay. We booked the "suite" knowing the price was low and not expecting much, but it was still a real disappointment. It wasn't clean, there were holes in the ceiling, and all five of us were put in one room. The bathroom also served as the living room, and the bedroom was separated from it by just one sliding door. We raised the problem with the manager, who was kind and tried to help. The next day we met the hotel owner in the hall. She basically told us to shut up and leave if we didn't like it. I've never met anyone so rude and unfriendly. The staff seemed scared of her, and I can't blame them. Don't stay here. It's not what they claim, and the owner is a really mean person.

The location was really convenient, about a 10-minute walk to the beach, with shops and restaurants nearby. My room was spacious enough and cleaned daily, with fresh towels each day, though the bathroom could use some renovation. Breakfast was tasty and varied, with something for different tastes. The staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable stay and good value for money, I'd recommend it :)
