U Coral Beach Club Eilat Ultra All Inclusive

We used to visit every year with my family when I was a kid, but the place has gone downhill. The rooms have been renovated, though the rest of the hotel hasn't. It could still be an enjoyable place to stay. The food wasn't great, and I think visiting in winter made that worse.

The food is still a real highlight here. Dinner had a consistently good range, including steaks, asado, pulled beef bao buns, schnitzel, chicken and plenty more. Breakfast was a letdown, with little choice, poor pastries, mediocre orange juice, and only black or green tea. The dairy restaurant is very good, but it only runs on certain days and you have to sign up early, first come, first served. There are lots of activities, which is the main reason I'd return. Snorkel rentals and beach gear are excellent, though the advertised windsurfing never seems to happen. On several visits there has been an excuse, and this time we were told the instructor had passed away. Cocktails are unlimited, but the selection is basic, mostly straight liquor and fruit juice. The slushies taste overly sweet and artificial. Bartenders vary a lot in skill, although one made a decent piña colada. Drinks come in plastic cups, but you can ask for glass at the indoor bar. Our room was a disappointment. We were moved from a Superior U room, the most basic type, to one with a balcony, but I preferred the Superior U room we had last time. It felt newer and cleaner and had a nicer bathroom. The balcony room's bathroom was tiny, with a tub and shower behind just half a glass partition, so water got everywhere. The tub seemed old and not properly cleaned, there was hair on the bed, the sofa bed had been opened without us asking, and there was no water or welcome package. The room cleanliness and quality should be better for the price. Standards seem to slip a little each year, and the hotel may no longer be worth what it costs. A storm caused the power to go out for about half an hour, and the roads in and out of Eilat were closed. Reception handled it well and offered another night at a slightly discounted rate, around 10%, which we declined. They then offered us a complimentary dinner pass, which we appreciated. Even so, I would come back because no other Eilat hotel offers this level of activities and programming.

That weekend was so fun and relaxing. The view from our room was breathtaking, and the bridge to the beach was amazing. We were also surprised by how good the food was, with lots of variety at every meal. Thank you!
