Satori Hotel

The location beside Tivoli market was disappointing, especially compared with Tel Aviv’s Carmel market Kler’s Mahaney yehuda. The hotel itself is very old and needs updating. In our suite with a jacuzzi, the TVs didn’t work, and we also had trouble with the faucet and toilet. They refunded us a little, but we wouldn’t return.

Parking is limited to four vehicles, and there’s no guarantee of a space. The online photos look great, but a closer look at the hotel tells a different story. Our room smelled of both mold and smoke, the windows were cracked, and paint was peeling. It was a terrible, overpriced place to stay. The neighborhood felt unsafe after dark, and even as a big guy I felt watched, like I might be targeted for a mugging. I wouldn’t stay again and would try anywhere else unless I had no choice. Lipstick on a pig.

The terrace has a lovely view over Haifa bay, and the rooms are quiet, clean, and a comfortable size, though still on the small side. There’s a desk, A/C, hot water, and a mini-fridge. The hotel has a 24 hour front desk and really good customer service. Shops and places to eat are only a few hundred meters away. There’s also a nice coffee shop around the corner, but early risers should know it doesn’t open until about 8am.

There’s no parking lot, and this feels more like a motel than a hotel. The rooms were clean, but old, and could use renovation. Our bathroom door barely closed, and the air conditioning in another room wasn’t working well. At least the TV worked.
