Sea Plaza Hotel

You’re right by the seashore and close to restaurants, which made the location perfect for us. The place isn’t fancy, but our tidy, clean, comfortable room had everything we needed and more. There’s a small, practical kitchen, a table for working on a laptop, and a very nice, clean shower. Everything is nicely put together, and the staff are lovely.

I reserved six nights, then changed it to two. At check-in I received a receipt for two nights, but after I got back to the US, I found I’d been charged for four extra nights a day after leaving. I called, and they wouldn’t remove the charge even after acknowledging what happened. The only staff member who was nice was the guy in the kitchen. The room was small, the shower barely fit me, and the deluxe bed was uncomfortable because it was two mattresses pushed together and I could feel the seam. Breakfast was mediocre for $12 USD. Stay away.

We booked a superior bedroom for two with a double bed, but got two single beds pushed together instead. The shower flooded the bathroom, the kitchen table and chairs were thick with rust, and the sheets weren’t very clean. There was no hot water in either the sink or shower. The A/C was so loud, and although the website says the rooms are soundproofed, we were woken by water running in the neighbors’ showers and kids screaming.

Sea Plaza was a great stay. The location is right in the city center, close to the sea, the Bahi garden, and the German Colony. My room looked stunning, with a pleasant, fun design. The service, breakfast, and cleaning were excellent. Thanks! 👍
