Etwan, the day manager, was wonderful throughout my three-week summer stay. He was polite, accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with. I had a one-bedroom suite with a living room. Please give him a raise, because he was about the only good thing about this hotel. The night staff were a different story. Mohammed berated me about my Judaism and said that if I visited Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust memorial, which I’ve visited several times, I would understand the Nakba, the “disaster” some Palestinians call Israel’s Independence of 1948. He is clearly an anti-semite and should not be dealing with the mostly Jewish guests. Zero stars for Mohammed. Hassan was lazy and rude. When I needed help with the broken AC or toilet paper, he said it wasn’t his job and that I was bothering him. Zero stars for Hassan. The night staff weren’t at the front desk or answering the phone, so you had to sit in the lobby for hours hoping to run into them. Two other families had to do this too. One Shabbat, a family was noisy, slamming doors and furniture. The night staff said, “this is how Jews act, we are not going to tell them to stop.” Hire new night staff asap!

We had a couple of small problems, but the management handled them with sensitivity, and we were very happy with that. The room was spacious, and some of the staff were tremendously helpful. The location was perfect. We’d love to stay there again when we return to Jerusalem. With love...

It was fine for a good night's sleep, and the receptionists were very kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the price was reasonable. The hotel is quite outdated and undermaintained, though, and needs renovation.

The only snag was finding decent parking each night. Everything else was fairly priced, and the hotel was just right for our short visit. The location felt amazing and safe, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the front desk team were polite and available day and night. Ahmed at reception was especially helpful, offering directions and lots of suggestions that made our trip memorable.

The location is convenient, within walking distance of the entrance to the Old Town. But the room was so small it felt crowded and suffocating, despite having the basic necessities. The bathroom was a tiny shower room with no window. Hot water didn’t work, though thankfully it was warm enough outside for cold showers, and the room window was only a tiny opening. The staff weren’t accommodating. We needed to leave our luggage before the 3 pm check-in, and they offered to put it with the brooms in the hallway. It was okay, but not great, maybe fine for one night.
