The service around the pool and in the dining area was outstanding, and every interaction with the staff felt genuinely hospitable. The breakfast was excellent too, with high-quality pastries and the best cheesecake I’ve ever tasted. Our spotless, beautifully kept room had a breathtaking view of the Old City. We booked one night at the King David Hotel Jerusalem through Amex FHR after leaving the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem over cleanliness, service, and management problems. At check-in, the front desk manager gave us a warm welcome and upgraded us four room categories above what we’d booked. Though it isn’t part of an international chain, the hotel operates at a world-class level and is a real model of excellence. Simply the best hotel in Jerusalem, highly recommended.

After a long, intense workday, I like to stop at the King David for a glass of wine and some quiet. It has an elegant, peaceful atmosphere, with history all around. You can sit with a book and enjoy the calm and the view, or end up having lovely conversations with people from all over the world. The bartenders and waitstaff are always kind and attentive, and they make me feel welcome. The King David has a timeless quality. To me, it feels like an experience of Jerusalem itself, serene, inspiring, and full of soul.

The experience and service at King David are one of a kind, and the atmosphere is amazing. Prices seem relatively good compared with other hotels in Israel, especially given the historic importance of the hotel and the incredible service. The restaurant is a different story: its prices are a bit high, and the food feels overvalued.

Nazir and Isaac gave superb service, and the breakfast and Shabat meals were excellent. The hotel’s in a very good location, but the rooms urgently need refurbishment. The TV system isn’t merely old, it’s incredibly OLD!

We had a very spacious room on a high floor, with a great view of the old city. The service was excellent throughout our amazing stay during the pandemic. We’d gladly return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends and family. Hopefully the conflict ends soon so we can visit again.
