Lev Yerushalayim

The location was lovely, with stores everywhere, but the hotel didn't improve the experience. We stayed one night and didn't even have toilet paper. The bath was dirty too. The hallways were filthy, the couches by the elevator were ripped and dirty, and the cracked, dirty door frames added to the mess. Our room reeked of mold, which had been covered up with paint, and there were stains on the beds. Everything felt disgusting. Service sucked, and so did the rooms. They used keys instead of cards, which were hard to carry around. This place is a ripoff. Save your money and go somewhere else. I'd give the room zero stars if I could.

Lev Yerushalim in Jerusalem was disgusting, worse than a two-star youth hostel. At the front desk, Atwan was the one bright spot in the customer service. The hallway carpets looked old and long unwashed, and I've attached a photo of that area. The paint was peeling and old, with a mark on the wall that looked like blood. Plaster was coming off the door frames, the lobby sofas were stained, and so were the bedroom floors. The kitchenette was mismatched and old. The list goes on. Most of the other photos disappeared from my phone, though I'm still looking. Do NOT stay there, EVER.

I've been visiting a friend who lives on the hotel residences floor for several years, and every time I walk into the building there's a powerful, sickening smell, like bottles of cologne have been smashed everywhere. I've also seen cockroaches, and the rundown hallways are full of gunk, stains, and bad smells. There seems to be no culture of maintenance or hygiene. I've never interacted with the staff, who I'm sure are kind, but this state of the building is an embarrassment for the city given its location. I hope it's shut down or handed over to better management.

The hotel was rundown, the beds were small and uncomfortable, and the shower didn't work properly. The hallways stank, and construction outside woke us at the crack of dawn. Please save your money and don't stay here. It was a horrible experience.
