Levy Apartments

We stayed five days in October 2013 and found everything spotless when we arrived. The bed was a little small, but we managed, and there was free Wi-Fi. The room had a flat-screen TV with a USB port, so we brought movies on a flash drive. Each night we watched them while eating lots of hummus we'd bought at the supermarket. The location was excellent, right by Jerusalem's central bus station on one of the main avenues, with the tram stop just outside. Breakfast wasn't provided, but the kitchenette was handy, and a great bakery just 50 meters away became our morning stop. Mahane Yehuda Market was nearby too. The only real downside was that no one cleaned our room during the five days. We didn't mind much, but a towel change would've been nice. Ask about that at check-in. There's no hairdryer, which may matter to some people. The quality for the price was good, and we'd definitely return.

The location is great, but I'm glad to be leaving, even with the spring mattress. The bathroom is a tiny two-square-meter space with a sink and a shower that has mold and a leaking showerhead. The kitchen has only the bare minimum: a sink, coffee maker, two bowls, two glasses, and two plates. The windows are filthy, and the outside hallway has overflowing garbage. There is no cleaning, just dirt pushed out of the apartments and left there. Avoid at all costs!
