Ramat Rachel Resort

By Israeli standards, this is a four star hotel. Service was great overall, and the staff were helpful and accommodating.

Our family stayed at Ramat Rachel Hotel from July 20-22, 2025, in Room 114, and it was one of our most disappointing hotel stays. The room wasn’t clean: there was hair on the towels, and ants had infested the desk so we couldn’t use it. We got just two small bottles of water for two nights, for four people including a baby. When we asked for more, we were told to buy it and directed to the hotel water machine. Its water came out brown and undrinkable. After I insisted and showed the front desk, they gave us two more bottles, but that still didn’t solve the problem. Requests for clean water and fresh towels got little response, and staff were dismissive and unwilling to help. At check-in I had to prepay, but they refused to give me a receipt, even after I explained I needed one for business. They said I could only get it at checkout, which was inconvenient and unprofessional. I also emailed and contacted the hotel on WhatsApp after we left, but got no reply. They advertise this as a four-star hotel, but our experience didn’t come close. I can’t recommend it, especially for families with young children.

We had a peaceful setting, surrounded by nature and lovely views, while still being close enough to central Jerusalem. The pools and country club facilities were beautiful and well maintained, and the restaurant served delicious, high-quality meals. Breakfast and dinner both had a wide variety of fresh, flavorful dishes. Service was courteous and professional throughout, always with a smile. Amran, one of the chefs, was especially warm and attentive. His kindness, dedication, and personal touch made a real difference and deserve recognition. Our stay at Ramat Rachel Hotel was memorable and exceeded our expectations. It’s a great place to relax or explore with family, and we’d gladly return. Highly recommended!

We arrived on Thursday for 2 nights. The receptionist was kind, and our rooms were very clean, facing the country club. There was a plate of cheeses and spreads waiting in the room, and it was really tasty. Getting to the pool was easy, and the children loved the toddlers' pool with all its slides and fountains. One problem was that the lifeguard or country club staff didn’t enforce the age limits there. Older kids, 6 and up, kept playing with balls and jumping around without considering the babies and toddlers in the water, and nobody stepped in. We were on a half-board plan, and the food was really, really delicious and plentiful. Dinner had at least 5 kinds of meat, plenty for kids, excellent sides, and a salad bar full of fresh, good food. But because it’s a kosher hotel, Saturday breakfast was disappointing: everything was heated, nothing was fresh, and the coffee machine was closed and unusable. I wish they’d offer an option for guests who don’t observe Shabbat to have breakfast like on a weekday. We had a very pleasant stay, with welcoming staff, tasty food, and an excellent location. Highly recommended.
