Victoria Hotel

The hotel isn’t the nicest, but the location is fantastic, just a quick walk from the old city. The front desk staff were attentive and nice, and the breakfast buffet was honestly impressive, especially compared with the basic hotel breakfasts we usually get in the US. I’m not sure whether it’s included for everyone or only with the tour package we had. Everything in our room worked, and there was a small fridge, which was handy, but it was so noisy we unplugged both bites while we were there. The breakfast spread was a great way to start a long day walking around town as a tourist 😎

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcome with exceptional service. It’s an affordable hotel and good value, with a free breakfast that’s a gourmet spread of delicious local foods. The location works well for the Old City, which is an easy walk away.

Victoria Hotel felt safe and welcoming, and I’d stay again. The rates are the best, the place is clean and smells great, and the basic rooms are well maintained. Breakfast offers a generous range, served by friendly staff. Anita at reception is the life blood of the hotel’s representation, with a lovely professional manner that made us feel looked after. The kitchen staff and cleaning team leader were friendly and professional too. The location is excellent for the Old City, near Damascus gate and bus depots for getting out of town. We walked easily from the bus terminal, and the Western Wall is close. The Old Citt isn’t easy to navigate, so be ready to walk or use taxis, as we did. This review took a while, but it’s genuine appreciation. Thank you, Anita and the whole crew. Don’t hesitate to choose Victoria Hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are a bit old and could use some renovation, but the place was spotless and the staff were friendly and helpful. Anita printed our boarding passes and got a much better private taxi price to the airport for all seven of us, cheaper than Nesher. The chef knows the job: breakfast had lots of options, and dinner was delicious, with beef, chicken fingers, spicy fish, plenty of salads, fruit and desserts. Dinner cost 50 shekels per person. The manager let our 5-year-old eat free and made her a plate of french fries. Water, coffee and tea were available all day. The location was perfect, just a few minutes from the Old City.
