We had a great time here for a couple of days. The room was clean and quiet, and the garden hot tub is free to use. David, the manager, knows the area and has some cool tips. The spice quarter is close by too. Don’t hesitate for a second!

The owner was incredibly kind and accommodating, while still giving us our own space. The place is even nicer in person than it looks in photos, and everything feels neat, cozy, stylish and country-like. Our second-floor room overlooking the ramon crater seemed to be the biggest in the building, which was supposed to have four rooms. It was huge, cute and lovely, and super clean. They provide all sorts of facilities, from a hair dryer to cotton buds. One of the best accommodation experiences you could have in Israel.

The big balcony facing the desert was a favorite, with afternoon sun right through sunset. My mum and I stayed in a little studio with a separate bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area. It was beautifully decorated and well equipped, and you could see how much care the owner had put into it. We hadn’t stayed anywhere else in Israel with this level of quality. One of the owners welcomed us personally and kindly offered help with questions about the place or the region. On Shabbat, order Jachnun from "Jachnun Chofshit" nearby in advance. It’s a traditional jemeinite breakfast, delivered to your door in an old VW beetle. Desert Home is pricey, maybe a bit overpriced, but we still felt it was worth it. The weather in Mitzpe was unsettled during our stay, so having such a cozy place was a real comfort.

A lovely couples’ tzimmer in a residential area, with a desert view. The rooms are nicely decorated in a desert style, and the kitchenette is fully equipped. On arrival there was coffee, tea, sugar, milk and cookies in the room. There’s a hot tub in the unusual yard. Breakfast isn’t currently available, but the owner gave us an option to order in.
