The location was a highlight, and the people and room were great too. A lovely place to stop on the way south and see Mitzpe Ramon. I’d definitely recommend it.

Rustic but clean, with nice people around. The bathrooms are shared, so bring shower shoes.

For the private room, this felt overpriced, probably the worst value I’ve had at a hostel. I suspect the shared lodging is a better deal, and the facilities and relaxed vibe there seemed good. Prices may make more sense for that option, depending on what you want. Our room had sunken beds, dirt, and broken or poorly maintained things. The noise was the biggest problem. The room is divided by wood with no sound insulation, so with the door shut we could make out conversations from all over the hostel, even a whisper in the hallway. Footsteps from the common area upstairs came right through the thin wooden floor. There were shared bathrooms on both sides of our supposedly private room. All night we heard people showering, flushing, peeing and farting, seemingly in stereo, and it was hard to fall asleep. Loud music from the cafe continued late, and when the place was full it could be very noisy if you were trying to sleep before 10 PM.

The staff made us feel at home on the coldest days of winter. Limor, Eden, Leah and everyone gave us such a warm welcome, with big hugs and lots of smiles. It’s a friendly, no-frills hostel; whatever the facilities lack in polish, the workers’ kindness and eagerness more than make up for.
