The Bell Boutique Hotel

The woman this morning was rude. She lied about the free breakfast from Hotels Tonight, even though I showed it to her on our receipt. It was a horrible way to wake up. Ilya was nice last night, but this isn't how you treat a customer.

The staff were super nice, and the location, one block from the beach, was great. The place looked better in photos, though, and felt a little run down. My first room was too hot. The AC wouldn't go below 24, and the guy at the desk said it would cool down in a few minutes. I left for the day, but it was still just as hot when I got back. It kept switching on and off about every minute and waking me up. The next day, they kindly moved me to a nicer room with a balcony and good AC. I thought the place was non-smoking, but the guy on the next balcony lit up. My massage was okay, but the woman spoke no English at all, and I don't think she spoke Hebrew either, so it was hard to communicate. I know it's not an expensive fancy place, but not having decent AC is a deal breaker for me.

I enjoyed the stay, but six months later there was an unexplained charge of around $20 on my credit card. I had to get a new card. Sketchy.

The morning shift woman was very nice and polite. The rest of the experience was poor, starting at check-in and continuing with the room. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived late. The night shift woman was very inefficient and limited in the job. She couldn't explain where the car park we'd just paid for was, and didn't have a driver's license. The place has no elevator, though that's a small detail. The room's cleanliness surprised me in a bad way. It smelled bad, there was dust, as shown in the picture I'm sharing, and everything seemed outdated, especially the furniture and bathroom. Breakfast was also unexpected. They gave us a ticket for a business across the street, where we were mixed in with outside customers buying random breakfast items. We eventually got a breakfast menu, but finding a seat was difficult because it was so busy. The price and quality don't feel well matched.
