The Claremont

I stayed three nights for work and had a very good stay, with more positives than negatives. The service was great, nothing was ever too much trouble, and the rooms were clean. The mattress could use replacing: it had uneven padding that pressed into my legs and felt lumpy, not like a spring. A fridge in the room would be useful too. Breakfast had a good selection, though I'd have liked a slightly bigger buffet with things like eggs and beans.

The food was fantastic throughout our stay. We had two lunches and two breakfasts, all excellent. The hotel keeps its retro charm while still feeling fresh and contemporary, especially in the spacious lounge and restaurant. The service was exceptional. A South African gentleman and three female colleagues serving breakfast and lunch on Sunday, 5th October, stood out for their warmth and professionalism, as did all three reception staff we met over the weekend. They were also wonderful about accommodating our elderly relative for lunch. Thank you.

We came for a day trip and stayed overnight at the Claremont Hotel. The sea-view room was spacious, well equipped and unbelievably clean. The bathroom had a bath, walk-in shower and double sinks. Staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We had dinner there, which was good, and breakfast the next morning was excellent. I'd recommend it to anyone coming over to IOM.

We stayed five nights, with breakfast and dinner, and were upgraded to a sea-view room. The whole experience was amazing. The hotel is walking distance from nheysham ferry port and right by the long promenade. There's a bus stop nearby, and it's a long walk to the tram station, steam train station and horse-drawn carriage. The staff were amazing, polite and hardworking, with super service. The food was great, and I loved the full vegetarian breakfast, cooked to perfection. All the waiters are a credit to the hotel. Would I stay again? Most definitely!
