We stopped at Aagman for lunch on the long coach trip from Jaipur to Agra. The meal was all vegetarian, with mostly Rajasthani dishes. I liked the home-cooked feel: the flavors were gentler and there was less oil and ghee than in typical Indian food. There was a tomato-based eggplant dish with a bit more heat, crisp spring rolls with plenty of filling, vegetable soup, and other choices. For dessert, we had chikki in nut and sesame versions, plus a kind of halwa. It was a nice mix. We had time to wander around outside before our pickup, and the setting felt restful. I could imagine coming here for a holiday if you want to get away from everything. This review is mainly about the restaurant, so I’m not rating the rooms.
