Agonda Beach Chalets

The location is good, and the staff are gentle, with decent rooms and good service. But I had a serious problem with the parking. Some local residents around the property seemed to deliberately hassle tourists about parking, and once they blocked the road when I was trying to get my car out. I left my rented car in the hotel parking, and residents damaged it badly overnight. I had to pay the owner around 15k. I contacted the hotel owner, but he said it was not their mistake. So what is the point of offering parking to guests? The car owner and residents were already in touch, and I felt this had all been planned. There are many better options, so please read my genuine review before booking and save your money.

The two beachfront chalets have a nice beach view, but I wouldn't stay here again. The road access is poor and the way in is full of rubbish and waste. The website photos don't match how the chalets look now, with plastic tarpaulins covering the roofs. The rooms are tired and need maintenance and decorating, and the air conditioning is poor. Cleaning is only done on request.

We had peaceful mornings, lovely sunsets, and the beach right outside, with a lifeguard there throughout the day. It felt secure, quiet, and uncrowded, almost like having a private stretch of beach. The huts and restaurant were lovely too. Staff were polite and very accommodating, and the fresh food, seafood, and mocktails were all great. We tried the Mediterranean shake, cold coffee, and piña colada. The property is easy to find on the main road. Our room was clean, with fresh linen and a comfortable bed. Water pressure was excellent, hot water worked perfectly, and there were no power outages. I also liked the tap outside the room for rinsing our feet before going in. We visited in December, when the AC worked perfectly for us, though I can see the temperature being an issue in extreme summer heat. Already looking forward to another stay.

The restaurant was the highlight for us. We thought the food was much better than any restaurant in palolem. We ordered golden fried calamari, chicken lollipop, chicken tandoori, and plenty of other things during our stay. The chicken lollipop and tandoori were the best, and everything exceeded expectations. Sahil and Luvkesh served us really well, and the service was amazing. They were happy to make changes when we asked. Our room was clean and nice too. We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it.
