There was no drinking water, no warm water for bathing, and no breakfast when we asked. Cleaning service was inadequate too. At night the staff made loud noises and disturbed us, so it was chaotic trying to sleep in the room. Highly not recommended.

We’d like to stay here again. The rooms were clean, the staff were very polite and kind, and the atmosphere felt safe. It’s in a great location and seems like a superb place for families.

The rooms are okay, and the food and staff service are very good. The property is near the TAJ MAHAL and RED FORT AGRA, with local markets close by too. Rapido is available for local touring.

We reached Jigyasa palace with my wife and son and were told our room had been cancelled because payment hadn’t arrived. I’d booked through Agoda, where I had clearly been offered the option to pay at the hotel, and the confirmation email said the stay was CONFIRMED. I showed that confirmation, but the hotel said they’d emailed to ask when we would arrive and sold the room because we hadn’t replied. I did not receive any email that evening before we got there. The message from the hotel arrived the next morning. I’d been using YouTube and watching some Netflix on the way to Agra, so I don’t see how I could have missed an email sent on time. If I’d received it before we arrived, I could have contacted them about other room options, and I wouldn’t have travelled there expecting a confirmed booking. The cancellation threw off all our plans. We had worked out distances from the attractions we planned to visit the next day, and instead we were left relying on a rickshaw driver. Luckily, he was honest and directed us to a friendly hotel. Jigyasa palace showed no willingness to help, even though we weren’t at fault, and the hotel is in a strange, dingy area with narrow lanes. I’d avoid it when travelling with family. Agoda should stop offering payment at the hotel for this property or remove hotels like this from the site. I can show the booking confirmation with the booking dates and email timing, the phone records showing no call before we arrived, and the emails from Jigyasa palace that came the next day.
